Christian Church turning out Atheists?

I just heard a very interesting statement that said the church in America is actually creating many atheists rather than Christians. What an interesting irony. Why would the Christian church be turning out atheists? The church has become very complacent recently. Not many Christians have an answer for the hard questions that circulate among the congregation and especially among the youth. The Bible tells us that we must be ready to answer for the hope that is within us. Sadly, many Christians cannot even adequately explain the salvation process, forget the hard theology questions! People who are searching for answers and come to the church are often disappointed in what they find. Also, an alarming number of children raised in the church are becoming atheists, because they are not getting answers! The church is satisfied with entertaining them rather than teaching them. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good to have entertainment for the youth, but that is usually ALL you will find. If the church is to start creating on fire believers rather than atheists, they need to get serious about answering serious questions! I find it a hard pill to swallow when a Christian cannot defend their faith. There is no point in believing in something you cannot passionately defend to the best of your ability. If you find that you do not know an answer, or hear a question you never thought about before, then study till you find the answer! The Bible is filled with mysteries that God is just waiting to reveal when we passionately seek the answers. God says “Seek and you will find, Knock and the door will be opened unto you!” Fellow Christians, do not come to this point. Study your Bible, know the answers, read books. Be ready to give an account and answers to even those hard questions! Let us not turn our back on the youth and push aside real questions that need real answers. I have gotten many questions asked of me recently. Let me give an example of a few hard questions that you might want to research.
1.) How does Genesis and the beginning of time fit in with current day Science?
2.) Explain the authors of the Bible and how it is the inerrant Word of God and not some man made book.
3.) How does evil and hell fit in with an all loving God and why do bad things happen to good people?
4.) Why was there the need for blood to be shed in order for us to be forgiven?
Friends and fellow Christians, I strongly encourage you that if you do not know the answers to the above questions, please do your research! Many of those questions are foundations to our faith. I have been asked those very questions countless times! How can we expect people to come to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ if we cannot answer those important fundamental questions? Do your research; trust me it will pay off!
